About me
Occupational Therapy. It's not just about employment! Click here for a 4 minute overview of the field.
According to the OT Practice Framework, 4th Ed. (AOTA 2020), “In occupational therapy, occupations refer to the everyday activities that people do as individuals, in families, and with communities to occupy time and bring meaning and purpose to life." Occupational therapy practitioners support clients in comfortably doing the things they need and want to do!
I’m Nicole Cipriani, an AuDHD occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience in hospitals, clinics, and schools, supporting clients of all ages in areas of sensory integration, motor coordination, visual perception, and executive functioning so they can enjoy their valued occupations. In my independent practice, I support neurodivergent adults as they explore their occupational profile, using this information to curate their lives. In addition to this work, I also provide mentoring and consultation services. The OccYouPod was the project that started it all in 2021. Check it out for interviews with OT practitioners and others, and learn a little more about the lovely scope of occupational therapy.
My aim is to do my part in helping humans understand themselves and their loved ones, with a greater understanding of their life’s purpose and motivations, and with the skills to resolve challenges in the way that works best for them.
